Brown baking spices, browned butter, vanilla cream and caramel follow on the palate, with a hint of cinnamon. Toffee, spice and vanilla fade through a medium-length finish. The combination gives you a bourbon to explore when you want baking-spice flavors beside the familiar vanilla and caramel.

Try a small neat pour first, then compare it with a second pour containing a few drops of water. For a chilled serve, a large cube lets you follow the change as it melts. A plain butter biscuit is a pairing to test beside the browned-butter and vanilla notes.

How it’s made: Made in Kirby, Wyoming, this flagship bourbon uses locally sourced grain and limestone-aquifer water. It matures in newly charred oak barrels for five years and is bottled at 88 proof, or 44% ABV.
