The Hakushu Single Malt Japanese Whisky 2024 Edition 700ml

Hakushu’s Story of the Distillery 2024 Edition draws on smoky single-malt whisky from Suntory’s forest distillery in Yamanashi, with bourbon-barrel-matured malt central to the composition. The 2024 presentation portrays the series’ inaugural forest-distillery presentation; the year is part of the release identity, not an age statement. This Japanese single malt is offered in a 700ml bottle at 43% ABV (86 proof).

Suntory’s tasting notes describe pineapple, vanilla cream and roasted hojicha on the nose. A light, soft palate brings a gentle wasanbon-sugar sweetness and faint bitterness, before an ember-smoke and bittersweet finish. The forest-themed bottle and edition-specific presentation set this release apart from standard Hakushu and from the other Story of the Distillery years.
