The Glenlivet Fusion Cask brings orange, vanilla custard and caramel to the nose, with coconut and lemon zest in the producer’s notes. Apricot, peach and fresh apple lead into toffee-covered banana and a little cinnamon on the palate. The finish is sweet and smooth, with orange lingering. It is a Speyside single malt to consider when you want fruit and dessert-like flavors in the same glass.

How it’s made: This Scotch is selectively finished in bespoke fusion casks. Coopers dismantle first-fill rum and bourbon barrels and reassemble their wood into a single cask, bringing both barrel influences to The Glenlivet’s single malt.
