Made as a pure malt rather than a grain-whisky blend, Nikka Taketsuru 17-year-old brings together malt whisky from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. The age statement refers to the youngest whisky in the blend; Masataka Taketsuru, Nikka’s founder, lends the expression his name. This 700ml presentation is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).

Yoichi’s robust malt and Miyagikyo’s more delicate character meet in an age-stated Japanese whisky with a visibly marked 17-year label. Nikka describes the wider Taketsuru pure-malt family as a balance of fruit, floral notes and malt richness.
