Kavalan Vinho Barrique Cask Strength is a bold single malt from Yilan County, Taiwan, matured entirely in recharred American oak wine barrels previously used for both red and white wines. This unique cask treatment brings depth and richness, layering whisky character with wine-driven fruit complexity while preserving Kavalan’s signature tropical profile.

On the nose, it opens with vanilla, caramelized sugar, and dark chocolate, followed by ripe mango, melon, kiwi, and bright citrus. The palate delivers waves of pepper, warm spice, dates, and lush orchard fruit, finishing long, clean, and deeply complex. Bottled at around 56.3% ABV, it is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to fully reveal its multi-dimensional character.
