Joseph Cartron Thé Noir Fumé (Black Tea) Liqueur 700ml

Smoky and refined, this French liqueur draws its character from whole Lapsang Souchong leaves—an Orange Pekoe-grade Golden Imperial tea—smoked with spruce and joined by jasmine flowers during drying. Joseph Cartron briefly hot-macerates the tea and flowers in neutral sugar-beet distillate in a small copper alembic, then filters and slowly adds crystallized beet sugar.

Copper-bronze in the glass, it opens with delicate smoky tea and light wood notes. The palate is supple and round, building toward a woody, tannic, smoky finish. Bottled at 18% ABV in a 700ml format.
