Hyde No. 8 Heritage Cask 1640 Stout Cask Finished Irish Whiskey is aÿblend of
- 75% Single Grain; fully matured in a first fill, flame charred, 200L bourbon cask.
- 25% Single Malt; fully matured in a first fill, toasted, 250L, Oloroso sherry cask.
All finished in an IrishÿStout cask, which was seasoned withÿcraft Irish stout from the www.cottonball.ie craft micro brewery in Cork City aged in a first fill, ex-Bourbon, American white oak cask for 3 months.
The stout is then disgorged from this cask, and then the cask is then filled with the whiskey and left to age for a further 6 months to ?finish? .

Aroma:ÿ A distinctive full bodied malty aroma with sweet vanilla and roasted coffee bean overtones.
Palate: Sweet, hoppy, biscuit taste, with a distinctive roasted coffee bean twist. ?
Finish:ÿ Sweet caramel, perfectly balanced with a long, smooth, creamy finish.
