Hampden Estate The Maverick Pure Single Jamaican Rum 700 mL

Built to mark Maverick Harris-Hann's May 2024 birth, this Hampden Estate release blends three marks and vintages: 50% HGML 2018, 40% LFCH 2020, and 10% C<>H 2021. Molasses and dunder are distilled in a double-retort pot still, then tropical-aged in ex-bourbon casks.

The official notes open with cane sugar, roasted pineapple, manuka honey, herbs, candied orange peel, clove, and black pepper. Dark chocolate, grilled coconut, sage, smoky tones, star anise, and black cardamom follow on the palate, leading to a long finish of cacao, charred oak, violet, sugar cane, and caramelised molasses. This 700 mL rum is bottled at 59% ABV (118 proof).
