Grandeur Batch 11, matured for 28 years in the finest Oloroso sherry casks and is bottled at 48.9%. Only 3181, hand-numbered bottles have been released. The whisky has a sherry sweetness on the nose, with balanced aromas of baked plums, roasted almonds, walnuts, ginger, old leather and cracked black pepper. The palate is full-bodied and complex, revealing rich notes of dark fruit, espresso, caramelized orange, sultanas, dark chocolate, tobacco leaves and warm oak spices. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering dark chocolate, walnuts, raisins and gingerbread.
