Compass Box Brûlée Royale Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

Compass Box Brûlée Royale draws on malt whiskies matured in ex-bourbon barrels and custom American oak barrels. The producer says the custom casks bring sweet, crackling toffee character, while the whisky is bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration.

Its published profile opens with crème brûlée, custard Danish and scorched-sugar brittle. A thick palate of clotted cream, honeyed malt and broiled peaches moves into custard and Tarte Tatin, then finishes with pannacotta, gentle nutmeg, toasted sugar and banana-split notes. This 700 ml blended malt Scotch whisky is bottled at 49% ABV (98 proof).
