By The Dutch Batavia Arrack 750ml

By The Dutch Batavia Arrack begins in Java with Javanese sugarcane molasses, local red rice, and open fermentation in teakwood vats. It is double-distilled in Chinese pot stills, shipped unaged to Amsterdam, then matured in ex-Slovenian red-wine barrels and blended from casks aged up to eight years.

The profile is dry and slightly bitter, moving into dense earthy, vegetal, herbal, and peppery notes before a long, deeply herbal and earthy finish with mossy, mushroom-like character. This 750ml Indonesian rum is bottled at 48% ABV.
