Akashi Single Malt Bourbon Barrel 7 Year 750 mL

Akashi’s 7 Year Bourbon Barrel single malt is a limited U.S. release from Eigashima Distillery, aged exclusively in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. The small coastal Japanese distillery bottled 492 for the U.S. release, giving this whisky a focused, mature expression of its house style.

The nose is rich with marzipan, pecans, and peat smoke. On the palate, grilled fig, clove, vanilla cream, cocoa powder, and sea salt build over a weighty texture before a lingering, gently smoky finish. Non-chill filtered and distilled in copper pot stills, it is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750 mL bottle.
