291 Colorado Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey Finished with Aspen Wood Staves 750 ml

From 291 Colorado Whiskey in Colorado comes a bold expression of American rye. 291 Colorado Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey Finished with Aspen Wood Staves is crafted from rye grain and matured for three years in deep-charred new American white oak before a distinctive finish with aspen wood staves. Bottled at a powerful 64.8% ABV, this limited release of just 699 bottles delivers concentrated character and unmistakable mountain-born intensity.

The nose opens with rich caramel and buttery toffee, layered with leather and pipe tobacco. Cinnamon and clove bring lively spice, while toasted oak and delicate aspen tones add depth. The palate is viscous and warming, building toward black pepper and returning caramel on a long finish. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to reveal its layered spice and sweetness. 🥃
